  41.  AGA displays are the same as the ECS ones with the addition of up to 256K-
  42. colors in all modes (ECS allows 4 out of 64 colors in the "new" ones)

  48. To investigate which "Monitors" (Display drivers) that will work on a 1084S
  49. you can do this:

  51.  Assuming you have no special drivers installed (CyberGFX++).
  52.  
  53. Open the drawer  "SYS:Storage/Monitors/"  and double-click on all
  54. but "VGAOnly". (You have just activated all drivers)
  55.  
  56. Then run "SYS:Prefs/ScreenMode".
  57.  Select one screenmode in the listview on the left.
  58.  Read about it on the right side.
  59.   If it says 15.6KHz or 15.7KHz it will work on a 1081-1085 type display.
  60.   Other displays with the same specification can also be used.

  62. You will also note that there is a
  63.  EURO:36Hz Hires (+ lace)
  64.  
  65. This CAN be made to work on a 1084S (I run mine in this mode!).
  66. The drawback is: You *may* have to fiddle around *inside* your 1084!
  67. The Euro36-driver is set up _slightly_ outside the standard scanrate of a
  68. 1084.
  69.  There are several files in AmiNET:hard/hack (?) about this, read them to
  70. check if you dare do the fiddling yourself.
